Art.e
, born in 1987, is a wish come true - “projecting” is a vital function of humanity, a necessity that pervades all aspects of life.

Projection is a need of the soul and the project is the conscious voyage where analysis, critical spirit, self- knowledge, and a creative need, merge into one great innovative act.

This is what we believe in and on this we have based our work over the years with great passion and attention.

Therefore, we have structured our programs to provide students with methodological and technical tools, necessary to develop and represent a project, but above all, our aim is to stimulate observation and knowledge of one’s own inner world.

It is only by being conscious of what we love and don’t love that it is possible to realise the elements of one’s “personal project”, a kind of personal alphabet, I would say a genetic one, that permits us to put passion in what we do and to develop a unique interpretation of shapes and ideas.

The National Film School of Florence was founded in 1999 by Salvatore Vitiello. The purpose of the school is to give to all those who “love” cinema the opportunity to create and produce their own short and full-length films.

The school’s philosophy is to let the students express themselves creatively in a stimulating environment. The student should be able to identify with the work that he or she is producing because it is our belief that in this industry, no matter what you create, it has to have conviction.

The school’s name derives from this motto, “National Independent Film School”. It is also a way for us to search and value new ideas; which are sometimes overlooked by the current film industry...

Students who have
their home base in our Florence location have at their disposal an unprecedented cultural and artistic opportunity. Students have the option of shooting their second and third films in Venice and Rome, or staying and shooting in glorious Florence...

The New York Film Academy has an open enrollment. Serious students from all backgrounds are welcome to apply. No previous experience is required. However, all New York Film Academy Workshops are extremely intensive. Students who enroll should be prepared to live and breathe filmmaking during these workshops. Given the nature of filmmaking and the necessity of working in crews, students must be willing to devote themselves not only to their own projects, but to their classmates' projects as well. As space is limited, we recommend early application to guarantee a place in the workshop of your choice....

The Cinema School "Immagina" was born in 1994 thanks to a group of actors, directors and writers but above all thanks to the enthusiasm of an independent author Giuseppe Ferlito.

The School is proposed, respecting the independent thoughts, to teach the language of the cinema and the ways of representation of reality, because even if it's impossible to teach the ideas, however it can be toughed transforming them in cinema, how to write them, how to move the camera, how to direct the actors in order to express completely ideas, concepts, feelings that we have in the head and in the heart.

The Laboratory practice is the principal part of the school, where students of various courses are working together, constructing together a sort of creative interactions with the precise aim to bring the product to an end. The interdisciplinary opens a dialogue between the several sections, already from the first lessons on the students have the possibility to be confronted between them and to begin a deep collaboration based on a common project.

Beside the usual creative course which guides to short film productions every year which are going to be send to various festivals of independent cinema, the school has proposed several times to its students the experience and the emotion of a true and real cinematographic Set including the realization of full length films which are supposed to enter in the normal cinematographic circuit: as you can see: "Doppio Petto" shoot in Sicily in 96, "Femmina" shoot in Rome in 97 and distributed by Cecchi Gori Group, "Né terra né cielo" shoot in Florence in 2001 and distributed by Cinematographic Lantia, and "La mia squadra del cuore" shoot in Florence in 2003 and distributed in VHS and DVD by General Video...

Visual Art Course: www.saci-florence.org/courses

This course is designed to operate as a meditation rather than a systematic study, as a guided tour through a series of literary creations that approach the visual arts (painting and sculpture obviously, but also performance and conceptual art) in both form and theme.

Along the way the class will touch on the related topics of the Bohemian lifestyle long associated with artists and writers, museums, sex and le menage, war, the city of Paris, death, the ruins and artifacts of the classical world, sin, re-animation, parties, and erotic car accidents, each of them thematically linked to the work of the artist and the writer.
