ORSA MAGGIORE, a comfortable and pleasant Hostel, is one of the various activities initiated within the INTERNATIONAL HOUSE OF WOMEN. This Guest House is located in the center of Rome near the Botanical Gardens and Trastevere.
You can enjoy a peaceful and relaxing stay in a beautiful structure of a 16th century Convent, refurbished to provide all the comforts of a modern day hotel at the same time maintaining its antique style with exposed beamed ceilings and “terracotta” floors.
The Hostel offers 10 rooms: 2 single, 6 double, 1 triple bedded, 1 four bedded, 2 eight bededed, with the option of rooms with en suite bathroom or external bathroom facilities structured to provide guests with maximum privacy.
 All rooms are large and face the peaceful and quite courtyard. A sitting room is available for general recreation (TV, reading). You can choose from full board, half board or bed & breakfast accommodation. Breakfast is served inside the Guest House and includes coffee, cappuccino, espresso, bread, jam and juice. Meals are available at the privately owned restaurant “Luna e l’altra” inside the courtyard.
From the Hostel Orsa Maggiore you can reach some of the most beautiful locations in  Rome in less than 15 minutes walk: S.Peters, P.zza Navona, Campo dé Fiori, the Pantheon. Trastevere, one of Rome’s most famous nightlife areas, with restaurants, wine bars and cinemas also in English, is just five minutes walk.
The International House for Women hosts and provides various other activities including symposiums and seminars, film projections, book presentations, music, parties, and theatrical representations. If you prefer to relax and pamper yourself you can take advantage of a revitalizing massage, yoga classes or “soft gym” etc. |
