A- Florence airport 'Amerigo Vespucci'.

The Florence Airport Amerigo Vespucci is about 5 kilometres northwest the city center. It can be reached driving the whole length of Viale Guidoni up to the road leading to the Firenze Bologna / Firenze Mare highways (A1 and A11).

The airport also has good connections to the center of the city, which can be reached in about fifteen minutes by taxi, and about twenty minutes by the Sita/Ataf service VOLA IN BUS (Fly by Bus) between the airport and Santa Maria Novella railway station. To reach the city centre:
- CITY BUS N. 62, EVERY 25/30 MINUTES, last stop in S.Maria Novella railway station (more info call 800 424 500 or website www.ataf.net).
- TAXI. Tarifs are determinated by meter and applicable supplements: Transfer from airport to the railway station is more or less Lit. 15-20 Euro.
- SHUTTLE BUS ('VOLA IN BUS') by SITA COMPANY. Connection with flights arrival, last stop near S. Maria Novella railway station. Departures every 30 minutes from Sita Coach Station (Piazza Stazione, Via Alamanni side). Tickets, 4,00 Euro, can be purchased on board, at the Ataf ticket booth and at Sita coach station.

The airport can be even easily reached from Prato (8 km), Pistoia (24 km), Montecatini (36 km), Lucca (65 km), Siena (68 km), Arezzo (77 km), Pisa (86 km), Carrara and Massa (117 km), Grosseto (143 km), as well as from the sea and its ports: Livorno (115 km) and Piombino (170 km). Connections Florence/Pisa Airport:
- SITA COACHS. Connection with flights arrival.
- TRAIN. A direct service links Pisa airport with Florence railway station (about one every hour). Inside Florence S.M.Novella station Air Terminal at track number 5. There is passenger and baggage check-in and tickets on sale for all flights leaving from Pisa Airport.
- TAXI. Taxi service available round the clock. For reservation call 050 54 16 00, reach Florence in about 50 minutes.

TO HISTORICAL CENTER:
Best higway exit 'Firenze Nord'or 'Firenze Certosa'
and follow white road signs to Santa Maria Novella Railway Station
TO PIAZZALE MICHELANGELO:
Best highway exit 'Firenze Certosa'
and follow yellow signs road to Piazzale Michelangelo.

FROM SOUTH, MOTORWAY A1 (ROMA)

TO HISTORICAL CENTER:
Best higway exit 'Firenze Sud'or 'Firenze Certosa'
and follow brown road signs to Santa Maria Novella Railway Station
TO PIAZZALE MICHELANGELO:
Best highway exit 'Firenze Certosa' or 'Firenze sud'
and follow brown road signs to Piazzale Michelangelo.

FROM SIENA (MOTORWAY)

TO HISTORICAL CENTER:
Brown road signs, straight way, to Santa Maria Novella Railway Station.
TO PIAZZALE MICHELANGELO:
Brown road signs, before to come into the old area turn of the right and follow direction Piazzale Michelangelo.
